Linseed oil contains about 50% linolenic acid. This linolenic acid falls under the omega 3 fatty acids. Positive properties are attributed to omega 3 fatty acids. Eating enough omega 3 fatty acids can reduce the risk of arthritis (inflammation of the joints), cardiovascular disease and depression. Especially the influence on heart disease is great. The chance of acute cardiac arrest or myocardial infarction decreases sharply with sufficient intake.
Furthermore, studies show that sufficient consumption of omega 3 can lead to:
- Lowering blood pressure
- Stimulating resistance
- Promotes strong bones and flexible joints
- Stimulates brain functions
In addition to omega 3, linseed oil also contains linoleic acid. Linoleic acid falls under Omega 6 fatty acids. Omega 6 can also have a positive effect on health. It can help lower cholesterol.
The Buchu oil in this product is organically produced by the Skimmelberg. Skimmelberg is the only producer of organically grown and socially responsible Buchu. Skimmelberg works with a worm nursery. These are large basins filled with soil and organic fertilizer. Earthworms live in these basins. The earthworms feed on the soil and the fertilizers present. By lightly spraying the earth, the earthworms’ feces slowly sink to the bottom. The result is an odorless and tasteless fertilizer that is used for fertilizing Buchu and Rooibos plants. Skimmelberg also produces Buchuthee, Rooibos and Groene Rooibos.
Unless otherwise prescribed 1 capsule 2 times a day.
